Filmmaker and photographer Ronan Gallagher moved to the UK from his native Ireland in 2009. Garnering acclaim for his documentary work from the outset, Ronan's first solo exhibition, 'Yatra' was held in 2010 and explored Indian subcultures. Ronan describes his process simply as “looking for the beauty in subjects that we usually walk past”. His preference for warm, low light bestows a feeling of richness onto the real. Ronan’s observant eye and warmth of vision is present in all his work, whether a personal documentary project or a high end fashion film.
His commercial clients include Gucci, Chloé, Lacoste, Stella McCartney, A.P.C., J.W. Anderson, Berluti, Coach, H&M and AMIRI.
Ronan has shot editorials for The Gentlewoman, Re-Edition, Arena Homme+, DAZED, Document Journal, Family Portrait, Replica Man, Buffalo Zine, SSAW and DUST Magazine.
His first book, Italy, was self-published in 2016.
